Representative image · PexelsKawasaki has revealed the updated 2027 Ninja 650 globally with fresh mechanical changes and new paint choices. The motorcycle is now available in the United Kingdom starting at GBP 7,499, which is about Rs 8.16 lakh. Kawasaki has kept the price the same in the UK market despite adding new equipment. The bike gets important hardware upgrades for better handling and stopping power. The older 41 mm front forks have been replaced with new 37 mm USD telescopic front forks to improve stability on turns. The braking system now uses radially mounted quad-piston brake callipers instead of the older axially mounted twin-piston ones for better feedback and stopping force. For looks, the bike keeps the popular Lime Green option and adds a new Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Grey and Metallic Spark Black color. It also features a 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster with connected features through a mobile app. The machine runs on the same 649cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that makes 68 bhp and 64 Nm of torque, connected to a 6-speed gearbox.
Context
While an official India launch date is not confirmed yet, the current model sells for Rs 7.91 lakh ex-showroom, and the new version is expected to arrive here given the strong demand for middle-weight bikes. Japanese motorcycle makers regularly update their popular sports models to meet safety and performance demands while keeping core engine platforms.
