Jio Platforms shares climbed over 3% on Monday following the release of its financial results for the September 2026 quarter. The stock went up by 3.14% to reach ₹1,476.15 on the BSE and gained 3% to touch ₹1,475 on the NSE.

Financial Results

The digital and telecom company reported a 13.7% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹8,389 crore for the September quarter, compared with ₹7,379 crore in the same period last year. Consolidated revenue from operations increased 11.4% to ₹40,475 crore during the quarter under review, up from ₹36,332 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. On a sequential basis, net profit grew 8% from ₹7,765 crore in the June quarter, while revenue rose 3.3% from ₹39,173 crore.

Operational Growth

Earnings growth was driven by new subscriber gains, higher realisations per user, and healthy expansion in digital services. The company added 9.1 million net subscribers during the period, bringing its 5G subscriber base to 300 million with an addition of 66 million users over the past 12 months. Monthly data consumption per user stood at 44.2 GB, and overall data traffic increased 22% year-on-year. Average revenue per user edged up to ₹218.8, while EBITDA rose 17% with margins expanding by 250 basis points to 54.1%.

Context

This marks the first quarterly earnings announcement by Jio Platforms since its stock market debut last week, when its shares listed at a significant premium over the issue price. Such quarterly reports allow public investors to track the financial health and operational performance of newly listed corporate giants.
