Director Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming two-part mythological action film Ramayana is scheduled to hit theaters during the Diwali season, with the first part arriving on Thursday, November 5, and the second part planned for Diwali 2027. The festive release timing ties into the traditional celebration of Rama returning to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana. Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who portrays Rama in the project, recently spoke about his personal connection to the festive period during an interview with the BBC Asian Network alongside co-star Sai Pallavi, who plays Sita. When asked about the guiding lights in their lives, Kapoor named his daughter, Raha Kapoor, noting that November marks her fourth Diwali and her birthday falls on November 6, just two days prior to the festival. Sai Pallavi used the conversation to praise the wider crew behind the project, expressing gratitude for the hard work put in by assistant directors, costume team members, and all behind-the-scenes staff who have not yet received public attention. The large-scale cinematic project features a notable star cast, including Yash as Ravana, Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and is backed by a massive budget of Rs 4,000 crore.
