The management of Singareni Collieries Company Ltd will reconsider cases of former staff members who lost their jobs due to missing work without permission between 2023 and 2025. A High-Power Committee will check the re-employment requests.

Re-employment Rules

Workers who want to join back must be 46 years old or younger as of April 1, 2026. They need to submit their forms for unauthorised absence between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2025, at their local area and mine offices. Applicants must have completed at least 100 muster days in any two of the five calendar years before the period of their dismissal. They also have to pass a medical test to prove they are fit for a Category-I post as a General Assistant Trainee in underground work.

Decision Origin

Elected leaders from the coal belt met recently with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and asked him to give the dismissed staff a chance to work again. He told the company management to look into the matter. The management then released orders to offer this chance. Interested persons must fill out the form and submit it to the head of the mine or department where they worked last. The final date to submit forms is November 14. Area General Managers will check the forms and send them to the right authorities on time. People can also talk to officials at their mines or departments for complete details.

Context

State-owned mining companies often deal with complex workforce attendance rules and local political demands from labor regions. Such re-employment drives offer a structured path back for former personnel while maintaining operational fitness standards.
