Registered candidates can download their Common Admission Test hall tickets from the official exam website at iimcat.ac.in once released by the institute.
Exam Details
IIM Indore will conduct the examination on November 29 across approximately 170 cities nationwide. The computer-based test will take place in three sessions, featuring 68 questions split into three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability. Students get a total duration of two hours, with exactly 40 minutes per section and no option to switch between sections during the test. The marking scheme awards three marks for every correct answer and deducts one mark for each incorrect response, while a mock exam is also provided on the portal to help candidates practice.
Important Guidelines
Students must carry a printed copy of the hall ticket along with a valid photo identity proof to gain entry into the examination hall. Candidates need to verify key details on their admit card including their name, roll number, photograph, signature, centre address, reporting time, and exam slot, reporting any discrepancies immediately. According to Hindustan Times - Education, results are likely to be declared by the first week of January 2027, and the scorecard will remain valid until December 31, 2027.
Context
The Common Admission Test is the primary gateway for admission to prestigious postgraduate management programmes like MBA and PGDM across management schools in India. The exam is conducted on a rotational basis by the various Indian Institutes of Management.
