Amazon Launches $35 Kindle Click Bluetooth Remote for Page Turning and Brightness Control
Reported by Kavya Rao (Senior Writer) · Wired ·
Amazon has released a new $35 Bluetooth accessory called the Kindle Click, designed as a handheld remote for the company's latest e-readers. The device is compatible with Kindle models released in 2024 and 2026. ## Features And Design The Kindle Click lets users turn pages, scroll up and down, and adjust screen brightness using physical buttons. Two large buttons on the front handle page turns, while two smaller buttons on the right ridge control brightness. The remote charges via USB-C and comes with a wrist strap to prevent drops. It serves as an accessibility tool for readers who cannot comfortably hold an e-reader, and works best when paired with a Kindle holder or tablet stand. This official single-piece design improves upon older third-party remotes that required a screen-blocking clip and a separate remote that both needed individual charging. The Click's battery lasts for weeks on a single charge. ## Pricing And Compatibility Priced at $35, the Kindle Click is significantly cheaper than Amazon's new $80 page-turn cover, which requires a new Kindle Signature Edition starting at $250. The Click works with any Kindle from the 2024 generation onward, though older models will not be compatible. ## Context Amazon regularly expands its ecosystem of accessories to improve user comfort and accessibility for e-reader owners. Page-turning remotes have long been popular aftermarket items, prompting official hardware makers to introduce integrated solutions.
