Television actor Avinash Mishra has won the fifteenth season of the stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi, hosted by filmmaker Rohit Shetty. The season used the theme Darr Ka Naya Daur and brought back former contestants alongside new participants following a twelve-month break. Avinash defeated fellow top three finalists Rithvik Dhanjani and Orry to claim the trophy.

Prizes and Performance

Alongside the title, Avinash received cash prize money amounting to 20 lakh rupees, a brand new car, and a holiday trip to Europe. The other two top finalists also received a motorcycle each. Throughout the season, Avinash performed consistently and did not abort a single task, while also earning the Swift Immunity Jacket which allowed him to save another contestant or skip a task.

Statements and Background

Reflecting on his victory, Avinash stated in an official release that he initially joined the program to prove a point to others, but ultimately ended up proving it to himself. He noted that the experience was mostly a mental test rather than just a physical one. Before winning this show, Avinash worked as a disc jockey, made his acting debut in 2016 with the show Sethji, gained wider recognition through Mariam Khan Reporting Live in 2018, and finished in fourth place on Bigg Boss 18 in 2024.

Context

Reality television shows in India often feature returning faces from previous popular programs to boost viewer interest and competition levels. Stunt-based formats rely heavily on mental endurance and overcoming phobias, making consistency across weeks a key factor for success. Winning such a major title usually helps television actors transition into broader mainstream recognition and future commercial projects.
