Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has revealed that he is struggling to get enough sleep amid his busy shooting schedule for the game show Kaun Banega Crorepati. Writing on his blog, the actor noted that while night sleep is the best way for the human body to heal and recover, he finds it hard to make time for it. He recently tried to retire early to prepare for an early morning work shift, describing a state of mind filled with drive and ambition before rushing off to bed.
Recent Injury And Public Appearances
This update follows a recent incident on the Kaun Banega Crorepati set where Amitabh announced that he had slipped and injured his left knee. While hosting the show, he chose to sit during his opening monologue instead of standing at the centre because he experienced some difficulty, though he quickly reassured the audience that the injury was not severe. A few days after sharing news of the injury, the actor was spotted in Mumbai attending a book launch event alongside his wife and veteran actor Jaya Bachchan. Legendary writer Gulzar was also seen at the gathering, sharing a laugh with the couple.
Upcoming Projects
Amitabh has several prominent film projects lined up in the entertainment industry. He will reprise his role as Ashwatthama in director Nag Ashwin's upcoming film Kalki 2898 AD Part 2, which also stars Prabhas and Kamal Haasan in lead roles. Reports also connect him to the movie Aankhen 2, although details about that project remain scarce. In addition, he is working on a courtroom drama titled Section 84, directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and currently in post-production, featuring Diana Penty, Nimrat Kaur, and Abhishek Banerjee in pivotal roles.
Context
Busy shooting schedules and late-night working hours are common across the film and television industry, often making it difficult for actors to maintain regular sleep routines. Sustaining heavy workloads while recovering from minor physical injuries is a frequent challenge for veteran performers who balance multiple film sets and television commitments simultaneously.
