Non-Resident Indian students applying for JEE Main 2027 can now use their passports as valid identity proof during registration. The National Testing Agency confirmed this update on social media after a student asked how applicants without standard documents like Aadhaar, PAN cards, or driving licences can register. The registration window for the first session of the exam opened on October 24. Students must submit their forms on the official website by November 22 to avoid a late fee. A late registration window is open from November 23 to November 26 for those who miss the first deadline. The application correction window runs from November 27 to November 29. The testing agency has scheduled the exam sessions for January 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28.

Context

Official exams often require specific identity documents that may not be easily available to students living abroad. Allowing passports gives international applicants a recognized government document to complete their verification smoothly.
