Reported by Kavya Rao (Senior Writer) · The Hindu - National ·
Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president K.T. Rama Rao has questioned whether Union Home Minister Amit Shah plans to take action against Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy regarding allegations of an 'RR Tax'. In a social media post, K.T. Rama Rao asked if the BJP leadership at the Centre only intends to make allegations or actually has a plan to act, claiming the situation points to a mutual understanding between the Congress and BJP that protects each other. He alleged that two hundred rupees were being collected per square foot in the name of this tax, stating the practice is widely known within the real estate sector. He also urged that statements should not remain limited to empty talk and called for concrete action against the alleged collections. Directing a remark at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he stated that the elder brother Modi will never take action against his ABVP younger brother Revanth.
