Drishyam 3 crosses Rs 300 crore worldwide despite weekday drop

The Ajay Devgn-starrer film Drishyam 3 has crossed the Rs 300 crore mark in its worldwide gross collection, despite a drop in earnings on its first Monday.

Box Office Numbers

The movie earned Rs 21 crore in India on Monday, marking a nearly 65 percent drop from its Sunday collection of Rs 61 crore. By the end of Monday, the total India net collection stood at Rs 197.50 crore, while the India gross reached Rs 237 crore. Overseas collections added Rs 5 crore, taking the total worldwide gross to Rs 303 crore. Earlier, the film opened on Friday with Rs 62 crore, making it the biggest opening of Ajay Devgn's career and the third-highest opening for a Hindi film behind Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan and Dhurandhar: The Revenge.

Screenwriter Aamil Keeyan Khan recently revealed he wrote over 100 drafts to get the ending right for the franchise. Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film stars Ajay Devgn alongside Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, and Kamlesh Sawant, with new cast members Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj.
