BITS Law School has started the application process for its five-year integrated and fully residential law programs for the 2027 academic intake. Students wanting to join the B.A. LL.B. (Hons) or B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons) courses can apply online through the official website at bitslawschool.edu.in.
Admissions and Eligibility
The admission process follows the BITS Law Foundation Assessment, which reviews academic records, entrance exam scores, extracurricular activities, communication skills, and personal interviews. Applicants must secure a minimum of 45 percent marks in Grade 12. Students who are still waiting for their Class 12 or entrance exam results can also apply, though admission will depend on submitting their final scores later. Candidates may apply through the BITS Law Entrance Test or by using valid scores from recognized law entrance exams like CLAT, AILET, SLAT, MHCET Law, and LNAT.
Programs and Faculty
The five-year integrated programs are approved by the Bar Council of India. Students can pick from five specializations, which include Technology and Media Law, Corporate and Financial Law, Entertainment and Sports Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mediation, and Public Law and Theory. The school's faculty members come from various notable institutions such as Delhi University, IIT Madras, National Law University, Pune University, Xavier's College in Kolkata, and several international universities.
Scholarships
BITS Law School offers several scholarship options to support students. These include the G.D. Birla, K.K. Birla, and Sarala Birla Scholarships for Legal Studies, which offer partial to full tuition fee waivers. Other available options include the Merit and Means Based Scholarship, the Academic Merit Scholarship, and the Diversity Scholarship.
Context
Integrated five-year law degrees combine undergraduate studies with professional legal training to prepare students directly after school. Law schools often use entrance test scores alongside personal assessments to evaluate both academic aptitude and communication skills for professional practice.
