Four CPM leaders from Damaramadugu village in Buchireddypalem mandal have resigned from the party, alleging that former sarpanch Gandavarapu Srinivasulu was involved in illegal activities. Bezawada Mohan, Ramesh, Ravikumar, and Bandi Venu stated they complained to the CPM district committee with proof, but the party took no action against him.

Party Response

CPM district secretary Moolam Ramesh countered these claims during a press meet at the Buchireddypalem party office, stating that the four leaders resigned to avoid being expelled for anti-party activities. He alleged they had been cozying up with the Telugu Desam Party and stabbing the party in the back for the past year. He added that the party did not accept their resignations and instead expelled them, claiming Bezawada Mohan's family enjoyed posts through the party twice and are now leaving for political gain for their son. Ramesh also accused them of attacking Dalit leader and party branch secretary Garikapati Suresh and urged police to take strict action.

Context

Local political disputes often intensify at the village level when party members clash over leadership roles and local influence. Internal disagreements can quickly lead to public fallout and mutual accusations between local cadres and district leadership.
