Technical colleges across the country have received their latest annual performance evaluations from the All India Council for Technical Education. The council released the IIC 7.0 star ratings for the 2024-25 academic year to honor colleges that encourage creativity, entrepreneurship, and fresh ideas among their students and teachers. AICTE Chairman Yogesh Singh and Member Secretary Shyama Rath shared the results online. Alongside these college grades, the council published the second-round outcomes for the YUKTI Innovation Challenge and the AICTE Productization Fellowship for 2025. These programs aim to spot good ideas early and help turn them into practical products that can actually be used in the real world.
Context
These evaluations help colleges measure how well they are supporting student startups and technical projects. Programs like the YUKTI challenge are designed to give young inventors financial and mentoring support so their classroom projects do not just stay on paper.
