The Indian School of Business (ISB) announced 250 new scholarships for its Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and Post Graduate Programme in Management for Young Leaders (PGP‑YL) to mark its 25th anniversary. The ISB25 Scholars Programme will grant tuition fee waivers of 100 %, 50 %, 30 % or 25 % depending on merit and financial need. The scholarships are meant to attract students from varied economic, geographic and professional backgrounds. ISB also revealed plans to set up the India Research Commons, a national platform that will give Indian researchers access to curated data sets, research tools, methodological resources and AI‑enabled infrastructure. In parallel, the school will launch a national faculty development programme to share its teaching methods, classroom practices and technology‑enabled learning approaches with other management institutes. The moves follow ISB’s recent efforts to align its courses with changing learner and industry demands. In 2025 ISB introduced the PGP‑YL programme with an inaugural batch of 130 students, where more than one‑third received tuition waivers. The institute also runs ISB Discover, a digital portal that makes faculty research available to policymakers, business leaders and the public.

Context

Scholarships of this scale aim to broaden access to elite management education in India. Research commons and faculty programmes are part of a broader push to raise the country’s academic and research capacity.
