The Punjab School Education Board has released the schedule for exam forms and fees for the Class 10 and 12 board exams taking place in February and March 2027. Regular students in government, recognised, affiliated, and associated schools must follow this schedule. Schools can start generating forms and paying fees from October 5, 2026.

Fee Details

The total fee for a regular Class 10 student is Rs 2,000, which includes a Rs 1,650 exam fee and Rs 350 for hard and soft copies. For Class 12 students, the total fee is Rs 2,450, split into a Rs 2,050 exam fee and Rs 400 for copies. Any additional subject costs Rs 550 per subject for both classes.

Deadlines and Late Fees

Schools can submit forms online or use a bank challan for offline payment. The final date to pay without any late fee is October 23, 2026, for online submissions and October 29, 2026, for offline challans. Late fees range from Rs 500 up to Rs 2,000 depending on how late the forms are submitted.

Rules and Timetable

The board has not yet released the exact dates for the exams, and a detailed timetable will be issued later. Students must maintain a 75 per cent attendance record to sit for both written and practical exams.

Context

Board exam schedules are usually released months in advance so schools and students have enough time to complete administrative paperwork without stress. Setting strict attendance rules like the 75 per cent requirement is a common practice across Indian education boards to ensure regular classroom participation before final testing.
