What Happened
TVS displayed the production‑spec M1‑S maxi‑style electric scooter at the EICMA 2026 show, signalling its push into European two‑wheeler markets while an India launch remains unconfirmed.
Specs
The scooter wears a dual‑tone white‑and‑black finish with orange wheels, layered paneling and a large windshield. It rides on 14‑inch wheels fitted with 110/70 front and 120/70 rear tyres, 230 mm discs and dual‑channel ABS as standard. A 4.2 kWh lithium‑ion NMC battery sits in the floorboard, giving a WMTC‑tested range of about 120 km. A permanent‑magnet synchronous motor delivers 12.5 kW (≈17 PS) peak power, 5 kW (≈6.8 PS) continuous output and a top speed of 105 km/h. A 1.8 kW onboard charger lifts the charge from 10 % to 80 % in roughly 1 hour 15 minutes. The chassis uses telescopic front forks, twin rear shock absorbers, an 800 mm seat height, 170 mm ground clearance and a kerb weight of 150 kg. Storage includes 26 litres under‑seat plus a front glovebox and open compartment. Premium aids feature cruise control, tyre‑pressure monitoring, a USB‑A port, app‑based seat unlocking, key‑fob ignition and a “Find my Bike” function. A 7‑inch TFT instrument panel supports Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi and LTE, enabling OTA updates and remote vehicle services.
Context
TVS’s M1‑S aims for practical, reliable urban commuting rather than competing on extreme range or speed, aligning with the brand’s strategy to grow its electric portfolio in Europe.
