A separate threat followed at 3.11 pm targeting the Chief Minister's office.

According to TV9 Gujarati, the threat emails came from the Khalistan National Army and Babbar Khalsa, warning of a dark Diwali and naming Ayodhya, Kashi, and Mathura temples as targets. The messages also threatened actor Amitabh Bachchan's home and singer Diljit Dosanjh, claiming an IED blast would target Dosanjh's 21 November concert at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Additional emails warned Patan collectorate, Sabarmati Central Jail in Ahmedabad, and various schools, mentioning Pakistan Zindabad and Khalistan Zindabad slogans alongside a reference to not forgetting 2008.

Authorities routinely deploy bomb squads and dog units to inspect these locations to ensure public safety while investigations trace the source of the digital messages.
