Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited shares surged nearly 13% on Friday, Dhanteras, reaching ₹39.89 on the BSE. The jump came as trading volume swelled to more than 2.79 times the average, signalling fresh buying interest. Technical indicators showed the stock moving above its 20‑day and 50‑day exponential moving averages and an RSI above 60, while the 100‑day and 200‑day EMAs near ₹38‑42 remained resistance. Analyst Virat Jagad Sr., technical research analyst at Bonanza, warned that a sustained breakout above the ₹40‑42 zone is needed before chasing the rally. At 3:20 pm the company’s market capitalisation stood at ₹7,800.16 crore. The share has returned 16.12% over the past week, 4.40% over two weeks and 16.94% in the last month, but has fallen 26.88% in the past year and 45.75% over two years. Its 52‑week high was ₹55.60 on 12 Nov 2025 and the low ₹30.12 on 30 Mar 2026. The rally unfolded amid broadly positive market sentiment.

Context

A rise in volume and price above short‑term EMAs often marks the start of a bullish phase, while the ₹40‑42 resistance aligns with key longer‑term averages that traders watch for confirmation.
