Andhra Pradesh Public Transport Department Orders 161 Officers to Install QR Feedback Posters
Reported by Shreya Kapoor (Senior Writer) · The Hindu - National ·

The Andhra Pradesh Public Transport Department has ordered all 161 of its Drawing and Disbursing Officers to install QR code-based visitor feedback posters in prominent spots at their offices. This move lets the public share feedback on government services and employee work. An official statement released on Friday noted that the step aims to make government offices more open, accountable, and better at serving citizens. These directions come after a state government order on October 11 pointed out slow progress across the state. Out of 35,926 total government offices in Andhra Pradesh, only 15,927 had put up the required QR code posters at the time. Because of this delay, the transport department has told all its DDOs to finish the installation work quickly on top priority.
Context
Digital feedback systems are becoming a common way for governments to track public service quality and employee performance directly from citizens. Such administrative drives aim to bridge the gap between people and state offices by using simple smartphone-based tools.
