Actor Salman Khan addressed questions about his upcoming film Maatrubhumi at a Mumbai trailer launch on Friday, explaining the inclusion of a track titled Teri Sexy Beauty in a war project. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced under the Salman Khan Films banner, the movie was previously known as Battle of Galwan and originally set to feature skirmishes between India and China.

Explanation And Cast

Salman noted that viewers might find the song out of place in a war narrative, but clarified that it plays during a scene where an officer and his troops honor their wives. He added that the promotional clips shown so far represent only a small portion of the overall footage. The star also joked that the team had released fourteen hundred songs so far to keep audiences engaged without leaving gaps for bathroom or cigarette breaks. The movie features a cast including Chitrangada Singh, Mukesh Rishi, Ankur Bhatia, Abhilash Chaudhary, Abhishree Sen, Zeyn Shaw, Javed Khan, and Vipin Bhardwaj.

Denying Pressure

Addressing media speculation, Salman rejected claims that the Indian government forced changes to the script. He stated that the project is not directed against China, but rather focuses on the personal toll that combat takes on soldiers and their loved ones.

Context

Major film productions often face public scrutiny over promotional material before release, prompting actors and creators to address controversies directly during press events. War dramas frequently balance intense combat scenes with emotional moments involving family life to deepen the narrative impact.
