Priyanka Chopra Jonas is bringing back her hit Marathi film with a sequel titled Ventilator 2, slated for release in 2027.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Dr Madhu Chopra, and Rajesh Mapuskar will produce the new film under the banners of Purple Pebble Pictures and Magij Pictures. Mapuskar also returns as the writer and director for this project. The original 2016 film followed the Kamerkar family gathering at a hospital ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi when an elder family member is put on a ventilator, mixing humor with family drama. That first movie won three National Film Awards, including Best Director for Mapuskar, plus honors for Best Editing and Best Sound Mixing.
