NSS Volunteers Help Manage Deepavali Rush at Kollam Railway Station

Volunteers from Sree Narayana College managed heavy crowds and helped passengers during the Deepavali festival rush at the Kollam railway station. The National Service Scheme units 27 A and B carried out these duties on November 6 and 7. The Railway Protection Force organized this volunteer service to ensure safe travel for everyone passing through the station. NSS program officer P.J. Archana guided the student volunteers during the two-day drive. Railway Protection Force officials including IPF Sunil Kumar K.M., ASIs Sunu K.S., Jyotheendran, and Lenin led the security side of the operations. Head Constable Madhu and women constables Nimmi and Greeshma also took charge of the crowd control efforts alongside the student team.

Context
