Actor Sanjay Dutt says his personal life has often drawn more attention than his movies, pointing to past events like his arrest and prison time linked to the 1993 Bombay bombings, his drug addiction, and his multiple marriages.

Family Bonds And Daughter Trishala

During a recent interview with actor and host Shekhar Suman, Dutt spoke about his family and his 38-year-old daughter Trishala, who lives in New York and does good work there. He admitted they were disconnected for a time due to various reasons, such as his ongoing legal case and people who did not want him to have custody of her, but noted they have since reconnected strongly and he is very proud of her. Shekhar Suman also recalled working with Dutt's late first wife, actor Richa Sharma, in director Kashinath's 1986 film Anubhav, remembering how she was always on the phone with Dutt during shoot days.

Meeting Wife Maanayata

Dutt also shared details about his relationship with his third and current wife, entrepreneur and former actor Maanayata Dutt. He noted that he is 20 years older than her, joking that she tells him he first saw her when she was still in a pram. The couple got married in February 2008 and later welcomed twins, a boy and a girl, in October 2010. Dutt praised Maanayata for her steady support through tough times, including his imprisonment, stating that she stands like a rock and is as committed a mother and wife as his own late mother, actor Nargis.
