The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has joined hands with the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre and Amazon to launch a national-level artificial intelligence cybersecurity hackathon named Raksham 2026.
Details and Eligibility
The event is being organised by the student technical clubs of IIT Delhi, namely Aries IITD and Dev Club. Student innovators from across the country are invited to build artificial intelligence prototypes to fight major cyber threats like voice-cloning scams, deepfakes, and online fraud. Online registration and concept submissions are now open and will run until October 12. Undergraduate and postgraduate engineering students can take part in teams of two to four members.
Finale and Prizes
Projects will be judged on technical design, real-world usefulness, responsible artificial intelligence use, and their ability to protect millions of Indians from online fraud. The top 30 teams will move to a 48-hour offline finale at IIT Delhi on October 24 and 25 to build and show their prototypes to an expert jury of academic, industry, and cybersecurity professionals. Winning teams with high-impact solutions will also get a chance to show their work at Amazon Sambhav 2026.
Context
This hackathon is launched ahead of the festive shopping season when digital transactions increase and fraudsters find more opportunities to target consumers. The initiative also strengthens the ongoing partnership between I4C and Amazon under the #ScamSmartIndia campaign.
