Reliance Jio Announces Special Diwali Broadband and Wi-Fi Offers for Customers
Reported by Kavya Rao (Senior Writer) · Livemint - Technology ·
Reliance Jio has announced special Diwali festive offers for both current and new users of its internet services. Under the plan for current subscribers, users who pay for 10 months of service will receive an extra five months at no extra cost. This totals 15 months of active service after a single payment. The offer applies to a monthly plan priced at ₹666, bringing the total payment for the 10-month period to ₹6,660. The extra five months of validity are added without requiring any further payments. Customers can claim this benefit by giving a missed call to 8219582195 from their registered mobile number. The call disconnects automatically, and users then receive a confirmation text message with further instructions to complete the process. Users must make sure they use only their registered mobile number for this process.
New Customers
For new users wanting to get JioHome, a separate plan offers three months of service for the price of a two-month plan. This two-month plan costs ₹2,122 and provides internet speeds of up to 100Mbps along with JioHome services. JioHome brings together broadband internet and entertainment options. Subscribers get access to Wi-Fi, more than 1,000 live television channels, and several OTT platforms through a single connection and recharge.
Context
Telecom companies in India frequently launch special festive discounts and bundled recharge packages around major festivals like Diwali to attract new users and encourage long-term renewals. These promotional packages typically combine high-speed internet with digital entertainment channels to appeal to households looking for combined media services.
