Reported by Aakash Bora (Staff Writer) · Autocar India ·
Kinetic has expanded its DX electric scooter line-up with larger battery options, giving the DX a new 3kWh variant and the DX+ a 3.1kWh version. The latter gets a claimed 132km IDC range, up from 105km on the existing DX+, while both new versions will be sold alongside the existing 2.6kWh models. The new 3kWh variant of the DX costs Rs 1.19 lakh, whereas the existing 2.6kWh model is priced at Rs 1.11 lakh. The new DX+ with a 3.1kWh battery is priced at Rs 1.28 lakh. The export plans give the DX a wider market to target as Kinetic adds more range-focused versions to its electric scooter line-up. The brand has also revealed that it is evaluating overseas markets for the DX, with Turkey, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Kenya, Nigeria, and Egypt on its list. The new DX+ uses a 3.8kW motor, down from 4.8kW on the existing version. It also loses the Turbo riding mode, retaining Range and Power modes.
