2027 KTM 690 Rally Unveiled
Reported by Imran Qureshi (Staff Writer) · Autocar India ·
KTM has unveiled the 2027 690 Rally, a motorcycle that takes cues from the 640 Adventure and is designed for trail riding. The 690 Rally is built on an existing platform but features several new additions, including two front-mounted 3.5-litre fuel tanks, an integrated windshield, and a rally tower that houses the instrument cluster. The bike has a total fuel tank capacity of 20 litres, allowing riders to choose which tank(s) to draw fuel from to adjust the front-rear weight bias. The 690 Rally shares its platform with the 690 Enduro R, but has a more trail-focused design. The bike features a 693cc LC4 single-cylinder engine, two ride modes, and fully adjustable front and rear suspensions. The optional Rally mode allows riders to customize rider aids like throttle response, cornering ABS, and traction control individually. The bike has a dry weight of 161.5kg and a kerb weight of approximately 176kg. The 690 Rally is unlikely to be launched in India anytime soon, but will be available in Europe starting in October. The bike's prices have not been announced. The 690 Rally has a 265mm ground clearance and a tall seat height of 935mm. The bike's design is a blend of trail riding and off-road capabilities, with a focus on making the most of its rally-oriented features. The Rally mode allows riders to fine-tune the bike's behaviour, while the Dynamic Slip Adjust feature makes granular changes to traction control in real-time. Earlier report (2026-09-09 13:32): KTM has unveiled the 2027 690 Rally, a spiritual successor to the 640 Adventure. The new model is built on an existing platform and features several upgrades to cater to tougher trails and longer distances. The 690 Rally has a combined 7-litre fuel tank capacity, allowing riders to choose which tank(s) to draw fuel from, and a 20-litre total capacity. The bike also features a 'rally tower' with an integrated windshield and instrument cluster, which is exclusive to the Rally. The Rally mode, a paid add-on, lets riders customize rider aids like throttle response and traction control individually. The bike has a dry weight of 161.5kg and a kerb weight of 176kg. The 690 Rally is not expected to be launched in India anytime soon. The bike's price and exact launch date for Europe are also unknown. The 690 Enduro R, which shares the same platform, costs EUR 13,599 in Austria.
