Kia India has expanded its assured buyback programme to cover more locally produced vehicles. The updated list now includes the Sorento, Seltos, Sonet, Carens Clavis, Carens, and the Syros. However, the locally assembled Carnival is left out of this scheme.
Programme Details
The Syros EV has already offered this kind of plan since its launch in July. The buyback scheme now applies to all engine types, which are petrol, CNG, diesel, hybrid, and electric options. Customers who pick this plan get an assured residual value of up to 75 percent for normal engine cars and up to 70 percent for electric vehicles after three years, based on terms and conditions.
Tenure And Limits
The scheme gives tenure choices of three, four, and five years for normal engine cars, and three and four years for electric vehicles. Buyers can pick yearly distance limits like 10,000 kilometres, 15,000 kilometres, and 20,000 kilometres. The total distance is capped at up to 100,000 kilometres across the ownership period.
Enrollment And Pricing
Buyers can sign up for the programme at the time of purchasing their vehicle through authorised Kia dealers. At the end of the chosen period, customers can claim the buyback value as per the agreement terms. The listed ex-showroom prices for these models are valid as of October 9, 2026.
Context
Assured buyback plans help car buyers feel safer about vehicle depreciation by guaranteeing a set resale price after a fixed period of use. Such schemes are becoming common tools for car makers to boost buyer trust and encourage repeat purchases in a competitive market.
