Actor Naslen Buys Luxury SUV Worth Over Two Crores Following Premalu Sequel Controversy

Malayalam actor Naslen has bought a luxury Range Rover Sport Autobiography diesel variant priced at over Rs 2 crore, with photos from the showroom widely shared on social media. The on-road price in Kochi is roughly Rs 2.03 crore, which includes about Rs 1.60 crore for the ex-showroom price and Rs 35.20 lakh in registration charges.

Car Details and Career

The SUV features a 2,997 cc engine with an automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive capability. It generates 346 brake horsepower alongside a maximum torque of 700 Nm between 1,500 and 3,000 revolutions per minute, reaching a top speed of 234 kmph and accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.8 seconds. Naslen's recent purchase follows his rise as a leading young star in Malayalam cinema, bolstered by the romantic comedy Premalu directed by Girish AD, which earned Rs 131.50 crore globally according to Sacnilk.

Controversy and Upcoming Projects

Despite the success of the 2024 film, the actor recently faced controversy regarding the cancellation of Premalu 2. Unverified rumours suggest the project was shelved due to creative differences over the script or an unprecedented remuneration demand from the actor, though the makers have not confirmed the official reason. Naslen was most recently seen in Mollywood Times directed by Abhinav Sunder Nayak, and his upcoming releases include Jithu Madhavan's action comedy Scene starring Suriya and Nazriya Nazim, releasing on November 6.
