Actors Dulquer Salmaan and Pooja Hegde are shooting for their upcoming Telugu film Sri Sri in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Videos taken by fans show Dulquer driving himself to the outdoor beach set in his Land Rover Defender. As his security team tries to control the crowd, a female fan breaks past security and yells, "Please, one photo." The team grows visibly annoyed and tries to pull her back while forming a chain around him as he walks to his vanity van. Another fan is repeatedly heard calling out, "Sir, sir, sir," to get his attention.

Fan Interaction

While the actor ignored these fans in the moment, other videos show him obliging selfies later on. He greets fans near his vanity van and poses for pictures and videos with them. One fan even gifts him a traditional Andhra shawl. Additional videos show Dulquer and Pooja shooting a scene at the beach with the crew surrounding them. The actors arrived in the city earlier this week, and it remains unknown how long they will continue filming there.

Background

Following his 2023 film King of Kotha, Dulquer returned to Malayalam cinema this year with I'm Game, which collected ₹47.94 crore worldwide after mixed reviews. He also found success as a producer with Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra last year before Bethlehem Kudumba Unit took over its record. Aside from the bilingual Kaantha and I'm Game, he has two Telugu films lined up. Sri Sri is directed by debutant Ravi Nelakuditi, produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri of SLV Cinemas, and stars Ramya Krishnan, Jagapathi Babu, Dheekshith Shetty, Rao Ramesh, and Sachin Khedekar. He will also star in Pavan Sadineni's Aakasamlo Oka Tara alongside Satvika Veeravalli.

Context

Outdoor film shoots frequently draw large crowds of local fans hoping to catch a glimpse of lead actors, which requires production teams to maintain strict security measures. Such on-location fan interactions often capture both the challenges of crowd management and the eventual warmth between stars and their admirers during breaks. Visakhapatnam is a popular filming destination for South Indian movie productions due to its scenic coastal locations.
