Production of the McLaren 750S supercar will end in 2027, and the British company is now taking final orders for the vehicle. Launched in 2023 as an updated version of the 720S, the 750S serves as the main series-production model for the brand.

Performance And Pricing

The car runs on a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 750 horsepower and 800Nm of torque. It uses a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox to send power to the rear wheels. The Coupe version weighs 1,389kg, while the Spider is 49kg heavier. It goes from zero to 100kph in 2.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 332kph. In the Indian market, the Coupe costs Rs 4.94 crore and the Spider is priced at Rs 5.46 crore before options.

Future Changes

McLaren also plans to stop making the Artura and GTS models by 2028. Since these three are the only series-produced cars the company currently offers, the brand will have an entirely new line-up by the end of the decade. The carmaker is preparing a wider overhaul that includes building its first SUV, developing new in-house engines and gearboxes, and opening a new factory in the UK.

Context

High-end car brands often refresh their vehicle line-ups and move into new vehicle types to stay competitive in the luxury market. Shifting towards hybrid setups and expanding into popular segments like SUVs helps these makers attract new buyers while planning for future industry rules.
