What Happened
Bajaj has updated its Pulsar NS125 motorcycle with fresh styling changes, a new instrument console, and added convenience features. The refreshed bike features glossy black bodywork with fluorescent yellow graphics, matching highlights on the belly cowl, rear panels, and wheel rims, along with '125' graphics on the tank extensions.
Features
The updated motorcycle keeps its muscular fuel tank, split seats, separate pillion grab rails, underbelly exhaust, and twin-section tail lamps. New additions include slim LED turn indicators and a dedicated red hazard-light button placed on the right-hand switchgear above the engine run/stop control. Riders also get a new USB Type-C charging port placed to the left of the instrument display under a protective cover. The instrument console now uses an LCD screen showing a large central speed readout, gear-position indicator, tachometer with coloured markings, clock, trip meter, fuel gauge, and average fuel-economy readout. It also displays a refuel warning, side-stand indication, and a new Sport mode joining the earlier Rain, Road, and Off-Road ride modes.
Price
This update comes with a price increase of about Rs 1,000, while the current range starts from around Rs 1 lakh for the base variant. Mechanical hardware remains the same, including conventional telescopic front forks, a rear monoshock with a red spring, alloy wheels, a front disc brake with ABS, and a rear drum brake. The bike runs on a 124.45cc engine that makes 12 PS of power and 11 Nm of torque.
Context
Updates like this help two-wheeler makers keep their entry-level sport motorcycles fresh against growing competition in the commuter and youth segments. The Pulsar series has long been a popular choice for young riders in India looking for sporty styling paired with small-displacement engines.
