Actor Imran Khan is making his return as a leading man in a new film titled Adhure Hum Adhure Tum. The project marks his first major role in a decade, following his last lead movie Katti Batti in 2015. The movie was earlier expected to release in early 2026 on a leading OTT platform, but it has faced delays. ## Release Plans The film is now set for a holiday season premiere around Christmas week, specifically targeted for December 18. Imran Khan states that the team is rushing to finish the post-production work to deliver the final copy on time. He notes that because the project is releasing on an OTT platform rather than in theaters, the exact date does not make much difference, and he is glad to finally share the movie with the audience. The project also stars Bhumi Pednekar as the leading lady. Earlier this year, Imran Khan made a cameo appearance in Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, which was backed by Aamir Khan and co-directed by Vir Das and Kavi Shastri. ## Context OTT releases often have flexible schedules compared to traditional theatrical runs, which rely heavily on specific festive dates to draw crowds to cinema halls. Actors returning after a long break frequently use digital streaming platforms to reach audiences worldwide without the box office pressures of a theatrical release.
