Two massive Boeing 747 cargo planes, each capable of carrying around 150 tons of goods, landed one after the other at the cargo terminal of the Chennai international airport in a single day.
Flight Movements
The first aircraft, operated by Network Aviation through Air Atlanta Icelandic, arrived from Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, in the early hours of Friday. To make room for its landing, control room officials quickly moved other parked planes to different spots. After unloading goods and loading new cargo bound for foreign countries, this flight departed for Hong Kong. Soon after, a second Boeing 747 cargo plane belonging to the One Air company arrived from the Rayong airport in Thailand. Workers unloaded and loaded cargo on this flight as well, and it then flew out toward Ezhou city in China.
## Context
Airport officials and cargo staff expressed great excitement over the simultaneous visits of these giant planes. Officials stated that these arrivals prove Chennai airport serves as a major hub for international cargo transport linking various countries around the world.
