Former actor Tanushree Dutta has doubled down on her stance following the death of veteran actor Nana Patekar, despite facing heavy criticism from groups like the All Indian Cine Workers Association. Dutta shared a long social media post and a video of her offering prayers at the Mahakaleshwar temple, stating that Lord Shiva protected her from alleged attacks and malevolent rituals. Expressing doubt over whether the news of Patekar's death is true, Dutta stated that she hopes all the people who wronged her face a similar fate. She wrote that she cannot work or live peacefully while her rivals are still around, demanding that they be removed. She added that she has no incentive to stay on Earth if those she blames continue to live. Dutta had earlier accused Patekar of sexual harassment during a 2008 film shoot, a claim he denied. She later filed a police complaint against Patekar, choreographer Ganesh Acharya, director Rakesh Sarang, and producer Samee Siddiqui during the #MeToo movement, but police closed the case a year later due to a lack of evidence. Nana Patekar passed away at his home in Goa at age 75.
