Ather Energy shares have jumped significantly since the company debuted on Dalal Street in May 2025. The electric vehicle stock has delivered a return of nearly 130 percent over the past year. Bank of Baroda Caps expects the stock to climb another 19 percent from its current levels. The stock closed Friday with a 2 percent gain at ₹1,431.25 per share on the BSE after experiencing sharp volatility during the week. Data from the BSE shows that the share price has grown 74 percent in six months and 94 percent so far in 2026.
Growth Factors
Ather Energy is planning to enter the ₹1 lakh to ₹1.25 lakh price segment with the launch of Konarc and EL models. The Bengaluru-based company aims to expand into the mass market by leveraging its strong brand recognition and shifting toward the convenience segment. Business growth will also be supported by a capacity boost, lower cost architecture, and battery-led bill of materials savings to help gross margins. Bank of Baroda Caps has issued a 'Buy' rating on the stock with a target price of ₹1,680 per share. The brokerage values Ather at 16 times its September 2028 market capitalization to gross block, which is 20 percent below the average valuation of two-wheeler market leaders TVS and Bajaj Auto.
Context
Brokerage firms frequently issue target prices and stock recommendations based on expected business expansions and market positioning. Entering lower price segments allows electric vehicle makers to target a much larger customer base beyond early adopters.
