Xiaomi has launched the Jinshajiang Ultra-thin Magnetic Power Bank 10000mAh 45W in China at a price of 399 yuan, following a successful crowdfunding campaign. The new accessory offers twice the battery capacity of the 5,000mAh model that Xiaomi released earlier in 2026. While the new model keeps a slim shape, it is thicker than the original at 13.2mm compared to the 6mm predecessor, and it comes in silver and dark gunmetal finishes.
Charging and Features
The power bank uses a silicon-carbon battery and supports wireless charging at up to 20W, which is faster than the 15W limit on the smaller version. Its USB Type-C port supports wired charging up to 45W using Power Delivery 3.0, Quick Charge, and Programmable Power Supply protocols. This allows it to charge compatible smartphones, tablets, and lightweight laptops like the MacBook Air. Xiaomi has also added safety upgrades to lower the risk of overheating, fires, and explosions, including needle penetration and hot-box testing. Users can check battery health by connecting the device to a laptop, though Xiaomi has not yet announced a global launch date or pricing for other markets like India.
Context
Portable power banks have become essential mobile accessories as smartphones and laptops demand more daily battery power. Companies frequently update these accessories with faster charging speeds and safer battery chemistry types like silicon-carbon to pack more power into thin frames.
