A twenty-nine-year-old driver named Daljeet died following a violent assault by nightclub bouncers and waiters after an argument broke out over beer spilled on a woman.
What Happened
The incident occurred late Saturday in the area under the Sarai Rohilla Police Station when Daljeet visited the club with his friends. Police sources state that an altercation began after the spill, and even though the group apologized, the attack continued. The assailants allegedly used sticks and glass bottles to beat him. Daljeet's friends took him home, where he collapsed near the entrance before being declared dead at Guru Gobind Singh Hospital.
Action Taken
Police have arrested several people in connection with the case and are working to identify and catch the remaining suspects. Officers are also examining CCTV footage seized from the nightclub to piece together the sequence of events.
Context
Daljeet lived in Raghuvir Nagar in Delhi and is survived by his wife, his eight-year-old son, and his father. Nightclubs and public venues are legally required to maintain strict security standards and ensure patron safety, while violent altercations involving private security staff often draw immediate criminal investigations under Indian law.
