CMF, the budget arm of Nothing, unveiled its first portable Bluetooth speakers – the Speaker S and the larger Speaker M – on Tuesday, offering up to 18 hours of playback. Both models sport a milk‑carton‑style shape, removable front panels and knobs that users can swap for different looks, and they come in Dark Grey, Orange, Turquoise and White. They are rated IP68 for dust and water, run on Bluetooth 6.0 and can be linked to two devices at once, with fast pairing for Android and Windows phones and NFC support. The Speaker S houses a 45 mm full‑range driver delivering 10 W RMS and two passive radiators; its 2,600 mAh battery recharges in about 2.5 hours. The Speaker M uses a 70 mm woofer (25 W RMS) and a 16 mm tweeter (10 W RMS) for a combined 35 W RMS, plus a 4,900 mAh battery that fills in roughly three hours. Both speakers provide custom sound profiles – Wide Soundstage, Ultra Bass, Custom EQ and Night Mode – through the Nothing X app. Pricing in the United Kingdom is £49 (≈₹6,000) for the Speaker S and £99 (≈₹12,000) for the Speaker M, with sales through the Nothing online store in selected markets. The larger model is also listed on Nothing’s India website, though a local price and launch date have not been confirmed. Additional features include party mode with Auracast for synchronized playback, USB‑C audio, stereo pairing of identical units, and downloadable design files for 3D‑printed panel replacements. ## Context These devices extend Nothing’s strategy of offering affordable, design‑focused audio gear, building on the brand’s earlier ear‑bud and smartphone efforts while targeting price‑sensitive consumers who still want premium‑grade sound and customization.
