JSW MG Motor India has launched the Windsor EV Indulge Edition at an ex-showroom price of Rs 17,88,900. The special variant arrives as the Windsor model reaches a milestone of over 80,000 families in 24 months. According to Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer of JSW MG Motor India, the new edition aims to meet changing customer preferences for a more premium cabin experience.
What's New
The exterior introduces an exclusive Shadow Gold body paint paired with a contrasting black roof, black outside rearview mirrors, and 18-inch black alloy wheels. Indulge badges sit on the rear quarter glass panes and C-pillars, while the rest of the exterior lighting and body cladding remain unchanged. Inside, the vehicle features an Urban Tan and Black leatherette upholstery theme. Front headrests carry Indulge embroidery and embossing, accompanied by themed cushions and neck pillows. A major cabin addition is the roof-mounted flip-down PRIVE screen for second-row passengers, complementing the existing 15.6-inch GRANDVIEW touchscreen display and 135-degree reclining Aero Lounge seats. MG also offers a curated accessory package including a rear sunshade, 3D mats, chrome grille accents, bumper corner protectors, body side moulding, and a leather key cover.
Performance and Pricing
The Indulge Edition is offered exclusively with a smaller 38kWh battery pack and a front-axle-mounted electric motor that generates 136 horsepower and 200Nm of torque. The certified driving range stands at 332 kilometres on a single charge. Priced at Rs 17.89 lakh, the special variant costs Rs 89,000 more than the top-spec Essence trim on which it is based. A larger battery option is not available for this edition.
Context
Special edition vehicle variants typically combine cosmetic upgrades and added accessories to refresh market interest without altering core mechanical platforms. The Windsor EV continues to occupy a prominent space in the Indian electric passenger vehicle market since its introduction.
