Denmark summons Russian envoy after warship fires flares at helicopter

The Incident
Denmark has accused a Russian warship of firing two emergency flares at a Danish military helicopter. The incident took place in the Baltic Sea while the helicopter was tracking the vessel during a routine monitoring operation on Monday.
Government Response
The Danish government summoned the Russian ambassador to talk about the event. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen called the Russian action reckless and said it was meant to intimidate and divide. Moscow has not given any comment on the incident so far.
