Denmark has called the actions of a Russian warship reckless after it fired two emergency flares at a Danish military helicopter in the Baltic Sea. The incident took place on Monday while the helicopter was doing a routine monitoring job to track the vessel. In response to the event, the Danish government summoned the Russian ambassador. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said the move by Russia was designed to intimidate and divide. Meanwhile, Russia stated it will thoroughly investigate what happened. At the same time, Moscow accused Danish helicopters of carrying out dangerous manoeuvres close to Russian warships.
