Photo: Openverse - wikimediaboAt has rolled out its personal audio gear, smartwatches and charging accessories in Sri Lanka and Bhutan, adding to a surge that saw its overseas sales more than double during the 2026 financial year. The company said it will grow its product line in each market according to local tastes, category chances and how customers respond. The two new markets extend the brand's footprint that already covers several nations in South‑East Asia and the Gulf region. CEO Gaurav Nayyar explained that the goal is to turn boAt into a worldwide consumer lifestyle‑tech brand that can match rivals on design, innovation and understanding of buyers. In FY26 the wearables segment posted its first profit, while newer lines such as charging solutions added to a widening profit pool beyond the core audio range. boAt also noted plans to deepen its hold in current overseas markets and to study additional geographies across South Asia, South‑East Asia, the Gulf and other high‑potential areas.
Context
boAt’s push reflects a broader trend of Indian tech firms seeking growth beyond domestic borders. Success in niche categories like wearables and chargers often helps companies reduce reliance on their original product lines and build a more balanced revenue base.
