Meta enables AI agents to configure WhatsApp Business messaging

Meta announced on Tuesday that developers can now use AI agents of their choice to set up and manage WhatsApp Business messaging. The new feature removes the need to switch between separate tools and services. Earlier setup required moving through the Developer Console and other platforms. By letting an AI handle template creation, testing and troubleshooting, the process becomes faster for companies that chat with customers on WhatsApp. The change comes as Meta rolls out new AI‑focused subscription plans. The announcement appears alongside promotion for Disrupt 2026, where OpenAI, Anthropic, Replit and other firms will occupy six industry stages. Tickets for the event are offered at a 25 % discount, and buyers can save up to $300. The conference returns this year after popular demand.
