He admitted that the public is right to feel worried about AI because these tools are improving at a very fast speed. Altman told the audience that the world must trust firms to act properly simply because it is the correct path and because leaders feel the true weight of the issue. Meanwhile, other tech CEOs state that strong incentives exist to slow down AI progress as worries grow over the potential dangers the technology poses to humanity.
