Kashmir University launches three‑day conference on environment and climate

University of Kashmir opened a three‑day national conference titled "Environment, Climate and Sustainability: Science, Policy and Pathways" on its Main Campus. The event is jointly run by the university’s Department of Environmental Science and Department of Geoinformatics. Organisers say the gathering will bring together researchers, university teachers, government policymakers and field practitioners. They plan to discuss emerging environmental and climate challenges such as rising temperatures, water stress and biodiversity loss. Sessions will examine scientific research, policy frameworks and practical pathways that can lead to sustainable outcomes. The conference schedule includes plenary talks, panel discussions and poster presentations. In the inaugural session, Vice‑Chancellor Prof. Nilofer Khan said, "Addressing climate and envi". The three‑day programme will conclude after Friday.
