Gold and silver futures rose in the MCX morning session on Wednesday, 16 September, as crude oil prices slipped and the market awaited the US Federal Reserve's policy decision. MCX gold October futures were up 0.57% at ₹1,51,667 per 10 grams around 9:10 AM. MCX silver December contracts rose 1.31% to ₹2,35,159 per kilogram at the same time. Internationally, US gold futures for December delivery gained 1.3% to $4,381.65 per troy ounce, supported by the drop in oil prices that eased the US dollar and 10‑year bond yields. Crude oil fell about 1%, capping the upward move in precious metals.
