Tax‑free funds flow to obscure Indian parties

UPDATE - follow-up to Little-known Indian parties received billions in tax-exempt donations: BBC: Six little‑known Indian parties registered as RUPPs received about 17 billion rupees in tax‑exempt donations during the 2023‑24 financial year. Despite the large sums, the six parties together fielded only 15 candidates in the 2024 general election. The parties are registered with Indian authorities but are not recognised as state or national parties. The BBC investigation examined these six RUPPs.
