Sebi gives arbitrage funds 1 percent unhedged limit for closing auctions

The Securities and Exchange Board of India has temporarily allowed arbitrage funds to carry unhedged positions of up to one percent of their assets under management. Two officials familiar with the matter stated this temporary relief aims to improve participation in the closing auction session. One official noted that this step will help bring more liquidity to the closing auction session.
